CREATING CULTURE THROUGH COFFEE
Kaapittiaq means ‘good coffee’ in Inuinnaqtun, and that is what we make. We source green beans from Indigenous farmers around the world and transform them into the Arctic’s finest brew.
We are an Inuit owned and operated business dedicated to supporting the survival and revival of our culture. Each year, 75% of Kaapittiaq’s profits are used to create programs promoting Inuit culture, language and knowledge. With every purchase of Kaapittiaq, you support the wellbeing and cultural survival of Inuit and Indigenous communities.
We believe that a good cup of coffee starts with its beans. We source the green beans for Kaapittiaq from Indigenous and female farmers around the world, with a focus on supporting social missions, local entrepreneurship and sustainable growing practices. We value Direct Trade purchase and partnerships that champion local and non-industrial agriculture and the use of traditional growing techniques. Learn more about our green bean producers in the Partners section of this website.
At Kaapittiaq, we drink a lot of coffee. Out at the cabin, in the office, and on the land, visits with friends and family are not complete without a cup.
For those that enjoy good coffee as much as we do, we've created a variety of unique roasts that are meant to be shared.
